#1: Gold Heart Lesbian
- Reserved for those who have never been in love with, intentionally dated, seriously married, or intimately used or exploited cis men. A lesbian who has only, will only, can only, feel emotional and romantic attraction to the divine feminine in its infinite forms.
- We acknowledge that many lesbians are forced or coerced into heterosexual encounters due to a lack of informed consent or societal pressure. Past history with men is not a disqualifier for lesbianism. Only continued hetero sex and desire is.
- The absence of male-centered emotional or intimate desire. We aren’t using patriarchal standards of virginity or “purity” as a weapon. For us, the chemistry simply isn’t there, and neither are the societal privileges that come with heterosexual alignment.
#2: Pillow Cases
- Often closeted-straight or bisexual women who are afraid of, disgusted by, and disinterested in their female or lesbian partner’s body or pleasure. They have an absolute hatred for the idea of giving to anyone with a vulva.
- Purely decorative. They can be pretty to look at, unless you’re in a fight. They are covered in drool, worn out, smell a little weird, and needed to be replaced a long time ago. They serve as a protective shield to hide the dirty pillow underneath.
- Not looking for genuine connection. Always looking for a bed to land in, but never offering a place for anyone else to rest.
#3: T.E.M.B.s (Trans Envious Moronic Bigots)
- You cannot be a feminist while upholding patriarchal standards of womanhood. You cannot be a bigot and be feminist. Lesbians acknowledge the compulsory addiction to devaluing feminism by insisting trans-exclusionary bigots can be feminist; a lie shielding internalized misogyny and conformity.
- These are cis women who feel threatened by trans women and typically other cis women alike. They ignore the existence of trans men and intersexed people to keep their illusions and jealousy intact.
- They aren’t driven by any legitimacy or rationale; they are just loud-mouth phonies who are too afraid to face their own narrow-minded personal insecurities.
#4: WannaBians
- Biphobic straight and bisexual women who aggressively use the lesbian identity as a self-marketing gimmick. They exploit the lesbian community to uphold appearances while they momentarily take a break from misogynistic cis men. They don’t love lesbians; they love attention.
- Opportunists who hopped on a survival and social trend to get what they want. They frequently prey on vulnerable lesbians with hopes of being spoiled and worshipped without ever reciprocating appreciation. They lack genuine lesbian friendships and only view lesbian culture through a mainstream stereotypical lens. It’s their only reference point.
- They remain stuck in heteronormative roles and often have a deep-seated resentment toward lesbians. They use and abuse women the same way abusive men do; for them, it’s about status and control, not love. They colonize our spaces, drain our resources, and ultimately ruin the mental health of our collective community.
A note:
The majority of lesbians, straight women, and bisexuals exist outside of these terms. Authentic lesbianism isn’t a performance or a purity test. Most women and queer folks, regardless of when/if they come out, are simply living.
This is for the “Gold Heart” who discovered true love too young, used and ridiculed by those who treat sexual identity like a status symbol or a reward after years spent sheltered under heteronormative security and domesticity.
